For over 30 years George has been involved in the planning aspect of his client’s finances. He started by doing personal tax returns with his father right here in San Diego. From there he moved into the investment business with insurance products for his educator client’s retirement. Not long after, he incorporated full service investment advisory and securities brokerage services, all with an emphasis on full service financial planning that really differentiated his firm and ultimately lead to the success that he is today. George has always had a passion for getting to know his clients and serving their needs with a personal touch. George is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, and is a tax preparer and planner. He also has his CA Insurance license, CA Insurance # 0539666.

Scott H. Melbrod
President

Scott has always had an interest in finance. He has worked with his father for several years. While in college, Scott had various positions in the financial world, first working for a large insurance and investment firm, followed by working as a broker’s assistant. Scott graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in Business Administration with a dual emphasis on finance and marketing. Once out of school, Scott decided the time was right to come back to the San Diego area and begin to work full time with his father on the investment and insurance side of the business. Scott has his FINRA series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses as well as his California insurance license and California tax preparer’s license. CA Insurance # 0E04497.

Anastasia G. Melbrod, CFP®

Anastasia, George’s daughter, has enjoyed working with our company since 2005. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2004 with a B.A. in Business Administration, with an emphasis in finance and a minor in accounting. Anastasia had an internship with a broker/dealer while working on her degree. Right after college, Anastasia worked for a respected San Diego financial investment firm.  Now that she has joined The Melbrod Group, Anastasia will be doing tax returns as well as specializing in tax sheltered annuities. Anastasia is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional who holds an insurance license, California tax preparers license, as well as her Series 7 & 66 licenses. CA Insurance # 0E50783.
